S&L designed an artifact case for rotating exhibits. A 3D computer model sketch of the design (above) and the finished case (right). The modeling technology allows us to “prebuild” in order to proof, refine and communicate the design. This case was made of the simple parts of 2”angle iron, 2 x 2 steel tubing and 4 x 4 plates. The sides are fitted out with tempered glass with a glass shelving system. The background is plywood with graphics applied to the surfaces. Thorough planning allowed us to job this out to an auto body and fabrication shop rather than a much more costly custom case fabrication company. |
