Norwich University, Sullivan Museum: concept sketches

Opened in January of 2007, the Sullivan Museum and History Center at Norwich University is a newly-constructed 8000 square foot facility for exhibition, offices and artifact storage. S&L is responsible for the interior exhibition design, conservation consultation, graphic design and installation.

(above) S&L designed a brick kiosk that functions as the introductory centerpiece of the museum exhibit gallery. Note the large graphics behind the kiosk. (right) Back view of the structure showing integrated display cases.

Of interest to some may be the variations of this design that were explored using our 3D modeling package Cinema 4D. In this case, our initial insticts were proven but "pre-building" on the computer allows us to prove, refine and communicate our designs to our clients and colleagues. The development site is here.
